CBO Publishes Report on Estimated Costs of WIA Reauthorization

 

The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) recently released a report outlining the estimated costs of reauthorization the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) via both the U.S. House and Senate proposals.

 

"PA WInS" legislation passes PA House unanimously

 

Rep. Eli Evankovich's (R-Westmoreland, Armstrong) "PA Workforce Investment Strategy" bill unanimously passed the Pennsylvania House on January 13, 200-0. The bill will now be send to the Senate Labor & Industry Committee for consideration. 

 

"CareerBound" legislation passes PA House unanimously

 

Rep. Ryan Mackenzie's (R-Berks, Lehigh) "CareerBound" bill passed the Pennsylvania House on December 17, 198-0.  The bill will now be sent to the Senate Labor & Industry Committee for consideration.

 

U.S. House passes "Bipartisan Budget Act of 2013"; Senate expected to approve legislation this week

 

On December 12, the U.S House of Representatives voted 332-94 to approve the “Bipartisan Budget Act of 2013” (BBA), legislation setting overall federal spending levels for fiscal years (FY) 2014 and 2015. Read more...
